Wagoner Today

Wagoner is a small community that is growing. We have a population of approximately 8000 in the city, and the surrounding lake area increases the number of people to our population. Wagoner has a large percentage of families and senior citizens. Ft. Gibson Lake is a big attraction both for recreation and retirement. Being located in an area that is close to Tulsa, Muskogee, Pryor, and Tahlequah provides us with access to many activities including shopping, cultural, and educational opportunities.

Wagoner is a Community Minded City. Our schools are excellent and a major part of our activities are centered around school academics and sports. Our churches are an important part of our daily lives.

Many of our citizens volunteer for events and the businesses and individuals are supportive with donations.

Both the retail and industrial segments of our city are growing. Our location with Highway 51 & 69, as well as the port and the railroad make Wagoner an excellent place for industry and businesses.

Wagoner in the Future

Wagoner is situated in a very great location. We have access to highways, railroads, and water transport.

We have industries that are growing and stable. Our city and the organizations all work together to promote and add improvements to the community. A great asset to our city is the fact that we do work together as a unit. Wagoner has an optimistic outlook for the future and with this outlook, we are anticipating a successful future.

Wagoner is an excellent example of small town midwest values. We care about each other and we help each other when there is a need. Wagoner is growing and improving every day. We have a place for young people, for families, and for senior citizens. If you are interested in living in an area that has much to offer, come visit Wagoner and look us over. Once you are here, you won't want to leave!
