Wagoner offers many activities for the tourist to explore. Originally a railroad switch point and, the town grey as more railroad personnel and trains came through the town. Today at times during the year, early models of the trains pass through on tours and stop to allow visitors to see the trains.

Many beautiful homes and historical buildings were built during the early railroad years and are still in use. Visitor can do a driving tour of these homes and buildings. Downtown still has many of the early buildings to view.

Wagoner has a water park and swimming pool in the city park. We have places to picnic and visit in shady areas. We have fields to accomodate all sports - Football, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Archery, Wrestling Gyms and Basketball Gyms. We also have a Rodeo Arena. Wagoner is able to have many competitions here. And, of course, we have Ft. Gibson Lake. All venues of water sports are available from Boating, Swimming, Watercraft, and Fishing. We have a private Quail Hunting Preserve for hunting as well as many other hunting areas.

For the less sports minded, we have many Antique Stores and Flea Markets. We also have a very interesting Historic Museum. We have a Monastary nearby that is very interesting museum. We also have a Lavendar Farm and Winery a short drive from Wagoner. At Tahlequah, a close by Wagoner, one can learn about Cherokee History.

Our tourism also includes Sequoyah State Park, Western Hills Guest Ranch with Golf and Horseback Riding. There is a driving range in Wagoner, and a shooting range as well.

Some of our manufacturers will also provide tours to showcase their products. Unarco, the largest shopping cart manufacturere, gives a wonderful tour (Must call and arrange times.)

During the Holiday Season, Wagoner has a large parade of lights on the first thursday in December. We also have Christmas Musical Shows. These are first class Branson style shows and due to great sponsorship, we can offer tickets for only $2.00 Each!

Wagoner sponsors professional fishing tournaments with championships anglers and ESPN here on a regular basis.
