The Christmas Season was a busy one with some challenges from the weather. Our Christmas parade had to be rescheduled due to ice and cold temperatures. We had fewer bands because of the schedule change but our participants had some beautiful floats for the crowds and lots of enthusiasm. Our parade has the most loyal community—the cold and ice didn’t keep them away and we thank them!
The Christmas Shows also suffered in attendance due to the weather. For the first time in the shows’ history, we had to cancel two shows. We had a great line-up of performers so it was disappointing that this happened. We appreciate our audiences that braved the elements and came out to the shows. We hope everyone had the opportunity to drive through Maple Park and see the Christmas displays.
The ballots for our new Board Members and membership dues invoices were sent out. We thank our members for their prompt response and appreciate their support. The new Board Members are Ginger Luna from Luna Counseling and Jeanette Lockwood from Transitions LifeCare. We welcome them and also the Board Members that were re-elected. Our new President is Tabitha Smith from Arvest Bank, 1st Vice-President, Paula Templeton from Wagoner County Conservation District, 2nd Vice-President Kim Witten from Wagoner County Abstract and Secretary/Treasurer Debi Hamilton from Good Neighbor Realty. The Chamber has an outstanding Board that supports the Wagoner Community in many ways.
On Feb. 17, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Center, Congressman Jim Bridenstine will hold a meeting and invites the community to come. If you have concerns and questions, now is the time to visit with the Congressman.

Mark your calendars for April 3, 2014. This is the date for our Annual Awards Banquet. Our theme this year will make this a fun event. (Hint: it has the word “Roaring” in it. Guesses?!)
